What suspension is and when to request it
Suspending your studies allows you to interrupt your course for a maximum of two academic years in the following cases:
Serious and documented health reasons;
Carrying out civil service or voluntary fixed-term military service. Suspension requests can also be made by citizens of European Union countries where military or civil service is compulsory;
Birth of a child;
Holding a research grant.
Procedure
- Log in to your reserved area on Esse3;
- Go to the "Student Area" section, then "Course Suspension Request";
- Fill in the online form following the instructions;
- Attach the documentation justifying the suspension request.
The Student Office, after authorising the suspension, will issue an invoice for the due contribution. You will find the requested amount in your "Student Area" under "Payments".
